The perfection of interlocking resulting in excellence

MPE has overseen the development of this beautiful, and at the same time practical and functional solution, identifying the ideal option for its ground fixing system, thus facilitating assembly. The result is excellent in terms of both functionality and aesthetics.

The choice of materials and colours

The choice of material itself is no less important, since EPP is particularly suitable for its impact resistance, lightness, durability and 100% recyclability. Once the composition has been decided, an in-depth study is carried out to determine the correct density in order to obtain both lightness and compactness, thus achieving the optimum stability of the bookcase.

Also, the colour range of the bookcase is the result of MPE's advice, which manages to combine the needs of the designer and the customer alike.

The designer’s words

This is what Giulio Iacchetti said about his bookcase: "Expanded polypropylene elements are stacked and juxtaposed to form a shelving system that creates a series of overlapping arches. Thanks to its modularity, this system can expand indefinitely both upwards and downwards. EUR is an expressive reminiscence of the famous 'Square Coliseum', the Civic building in Rome's EUR district. With clear rationalist characteristics, the building was created as one of the projects for the 1942 Universal Exhibition in Rome, which never took place because of to the Second World War”.
